Church Closing Due to Inclement Weather 9/14/18 - 9/16/18

This message is sent on behalf of the Alpha Team (Pastor Stewart, Deacons Vaughn Moore, Douglas Walker and Trustees Miller Jamerson and Tom Williams).

The Alpha Team held a teleconference this afternoon to discuss the weather conditions of expected rain and possible power outages from Hurricane Florence in the greater Charlotte and surrounding areas.

As a result of this teleconference and taking into account that the safety of GMSBC members and visitors is of the upmost importance, we wanted to get the message out as soon as possible in the event of a possible power outages, that all services and events scheduled for this weekend are cancelled, until further notice, such as the events scheduled below:

  • Women’s Prayer Partner Summit scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, 9/15/18

  • Worship Service on Sunday (both the 8 am and 11 am services.

However, please be advised that we will have a worship service on Wednesday of next week, 9/19/18 at 7 pm in the sanctuary, to make up for the cancelled worship service.

We encourage each of you to assist us in passing out this message to as many church members as possible or people that you may have invited to GMSBC this coming Sunday.

We will continue to pray for your safety and your family members during this storm and please continue to check the various media outlets concerning updates on the storm and GMSBC to include, but no limited to WSOC, TV 64, GMSBC website, email for further updates.
