With the humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of the wife of Pastor Stewart, Carla J. Stewart. She transitioned on Tuesday afternoon, February 9, 2021, after living with breast cancer for 7 months. Lady Carla loved the Lord, her girls, grandson, family, and her husband. Her family was her life. She had a smile that could light up an entirely dark room. She was the glue that kept her family all together and moving in the right direction. She fought a good fight and she finished her course! We will all miss her greatly!

Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church (GMSBC) was organized in October 1933 as a Missionary Baptist Church. The church has approximately 1,000 members and is dedicated to spreading the gospel through establishing, developing, and promoting all aspects of Bible-based Christian ministry within Charlotte, NC and the surrounding communities. GMSBC is located at 1243 West Blvd. Charlotte NC 28208. Our Pastor and First Lady are Rev. Dr. Major A. Stewart and Sister Carla Stewart.
